It is unless you get it repaired (or unblocked), my daughters phone blocked itself for reasons unknown and when I took it back to the shop where I purchased it they looked at me very strangley and wanted proof of purchase before they took it off my hands. I did have the proof with me and they sent it off to get repaired. It didn't cost me anything thankfully because it was still under guarantee. But I don't know if a shop will repair (or unblock) your phone without proof that it belongs to you!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Phone not allowed mm6 Help

MM6 means the phone has been reported lost/stolen and the IMEI has been network blocked.
Nothing you can do... you have a paperweight.

So you contact the provider where you got the phone if you got it from them.

If you got this from a person, or took it, there is nothing you can do with the IMEI locked.

The only way is if you have a receipt and can prove this is your phone by going to the cell phone provider you have your account with.

How to block a stolen cellphone

If it is a CDMA phone, please contact your service provider and report them as a stolen phone. If you have a GSM phone the service provider can lock your SIM.

I lost my nokia 2690 cell phone..please help me would be very kind of you.. IMEI number is : 354306047873198..thank you..! if found then please contact me on this number 8801416492.

If you've lost your phone, then there's absolutely nothing FixYa can do to help you recover it, sorry.

All you can do is to report the loss to both the Police and your service provider. The former may be able to let you know if the phone is handed in, the latter may be able to put a network block on the phone so that your phone is useless in your country to anyone else.

My nokia mobile 6300 is lost.IMEI:351973031743449

Hi! If your phone is lost, kindly report it to the local police or call your phone service provider and tell them to block your number so that the person who had your phone won't be able to have an access to important things on your phone. I'm sorry that you've lost your phone. Thank you for using fixya! Hope I had helped you with your problem.

My nokia 5233 mobile has lost yesterday in suryapet how can get it back

one suggestion would be to call the number and ask whomever answers the phone to return it. if that does not work i would strongly suggest you contact your service provider and report the phone lost so that you do not incur additional charges from the use of the phone

I bought a nokia 6303 in january+2weeks later it had been blocked! wen i rang up vodafone, they z that it had been reported as lost or stolen and they'd had a block put on it. but i bought it from a second...

you can go to a technician to patch the serial no.. you had been blocked by the use of serial no.. so even what sim card you put you may not have signaL... if you will go to a technician it is useLess yes they may patch the serial no.. they will change it into another serial no... so ntc will not be able to detect you but some effects will happen to your cellphone.. Like auto - shut off.. which will make your phone turns off it self for every 5-10 minutes... that's the effect of changing serial no of your phone.. so it's up to you if you will let them patched it or not hope it heLps:) don't forget to rate.. thanks

My mobail model k220i plz send me master rest cod very urjent

It's not possible from FixYa, sorry.

If your phone is locked then either try a new SIM (=new phone number) or if you wish to continue with the current SIM you must ask your network provider for a PUK code.

If your phone is blocked (blocking disables the phone handset when reported lost or stolen) then you must contact whichever phone company blocked the phone along with proof of your identity to have the block removed..

Need to unblock it says sim registration failed( network operator did this as i lost it)

The phone is barred as it is reported lost, the phone is the property of the Network or the Insurance company if you had a replacement... If you didnt then you can just call them and they will unblock the handset for you, let them know that you have found it again...

Anyother method of unblocking, is illegal in most countries and is also impossible on this handset.

Help with unlocking my recently purchased blocked fone to take an o2sim

sorry but all the UK networks have circulated an IMEI bar. The only way it can be removed is if the original owner calls his network and reports it found. Then within a couple of days it should be active again.
Once all the other networks get the IMEI they tell their networks to reject that IMEI if it tries to log on.
If your friend received a replacement from his insurance and the insurance was with his network, they will probably refuse to remove the bar. Sorry.

Lost my mobile Need to Block the Phone

Please look at your other post in the Nokia 2600 Troubleshooting section.

There is already a solution to the same question you have asked.

Contact your network provider and ask them to block your phone.
