GE Fridge intermittent

GE side by side-GSL25JFRFBS Press ice dispenser and green LED dims. Constant clicking from relay on control board. Cleaned cylindracal condensor fan. Compressor warm but not running. Fan not running (at least not while monitoring.) When uplugged, relay sometimes stops and everything works. 12 hours later problem re-occurs. Holding ice handle in stops relay and eventually everything works again. Freezer thaws and freezes during these processes. Removed control board and no obvious visual problems. One fuse on board good. dwm4u@verizon.net

I am having the same problem with the exact same model. My dispenser stopped dispensing and the light would dim. Woke up this morning and the fridge was 50 degrees. I unplugged the unit, turned off the ice maker (not sure if that part will help), and plugged it back in after 15 minutes. Fridge is now down to 37 degrees but freezer is only down to 27 degrees. A search of google turns up MANY instances of the same matter.

I had the exact problem with my GSL25JFRFBS. It turned out to be a bad control board. The service technician that replaced the board said that the lights dimming on the on the ice/water dispenser is a direct indication of the control board being bad. This cost me $303.53 and my refridgerator is only a little over 2 years old. You can buy a new control board - WR55X10656 from GE online for a little over $157.00. From what I've found, this is an inherit issue with this model.

Last year, we had this problem.  GE service tech blamed it on an accumulation of dust.  Vacuumed it away and sure enough it worked.  But we also unplugged the refrig to move it, so that process might have contributed to the solution.   Problem recurred a few days ago.  This time, the tech suggested replacing the controller board -- the exact model number that is mentioned in solution number one.  But the price was only $125.  The GE tech fixed this for less than some online sites are selling the part by itself.  And yes, it was a real GE tech and a real GE part.  For that price, let GE do the work.

GE Model GSH25JSRF SS is clicking non stop, the click comes from a small panel on the back right of the fridge. Started out that the water and ice dispenser didn't dispense. Then the clicking just came...

Is it still cooling? I had an issue where there was a clicking noise from the back panel and the fridge did not cool. Pulling off the panel the noise seemed to from a box on the circuit board. Turns out there was a problem with the controler board and after some research I found that the board was covered under a recall. GE ended up sending a guy out to replace the board at no charge. Pretty cool being that if was after the warranty had expired; but I guess it makes sence since there was a recall. Good luck.

Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

Ge gss25ifrf ww side by side fridge clicking

Sounds like the main control board is bad . Pt # WR55X10656 . This board is located behind the 8 " X 10 " , panel just above the compressor compartment . The compressor relay , is what you hear clicking , cutting the compressor , on/off . Even the dispensor board , is operated by the main control board .

Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.

I had luck with a board with a clicking relay by replacing capacitors C29 and C30, which had bulged tops. Bravo, fridge works!

Door dispenser stopped dispensing, starting making a constant clicking and now the entire fride isn't working

We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150. We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)
