It will work fine for a while (5 minutes to 5 days) but then it will start doing the shrink/zoom thing. I turn the monitor off, wait a few seconds then turn it back on and I see vericle lines and the screen is too small then it zooms out again. After turning it off and on a few times, it has eventually started working properly. I've changed the screen size, refresh rate, downloaded drivers from LG, even switched video cards but nothing works. Any help would be appriciated.
-   Similar to what he had but one day all icons are small along with anything I look at on-line or off. Next time to large. Have tied changing settings on the monitor and in the computer no change.-   Guest
I had a similiar issue that caused all my Microsoft applications to zoom out to 500%. It also caused PDF documents to shrink and go the the last page. The issue was caused by the Intellatype software that came with my ergonomic keyboard. The issue was resolved by disabling the zoom feature of the sofware on the zoom tab.
Your problem is likely caused by a cold solder connection in the yoke/horizontal deflection circuit. Most likely easily repaired by most service shops.
OK PEOPLE I GOT THE SOLUTION TO THE MAG INNOVISION LT916S GOING BLACK AFTER ANY LENGTH OF TIME BEING ON!!! I JUST REPAIRED MINE TODAY! THE PROBLEM IS THE CAPACITOR BANK IN THE POWER SUPPLY PART THERE ARE 6 CAPACITORS I HAD A FEW LEAKY ONES "NOT GOOD" THE CAPACITOR SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS 470UF 25V 105 DEGREES C MEANING 470 MICRO FARAD/25 VOLTS I HAD A VERY HARD TIME FINDING THE 25 VOLT ONES SO I WENT WITH 470UF/35V 85 DEGREES C THEY MIGHT NOT LAST AS LONG AS THE OTHERS DUE TO THE TEMP RATING HOWEVER, IM THINKING SINCE THEY CAN HANDLE UP TO 35 VOLTS IT SHOULD EVEN OUT AND HEY, ITS WORKING SO FAR SO GOOD!! THE CAPACITORS ARE FROM UNDER A DOLLAR A PIECE TO A COUPLE BUCKS EACH. THE CAPACITORS HAVE A BOLD LINE RUNNING UP ON ONE SIDE INDICATING THE POLARITY. BOLD LINE SIDE IS "-" SIDE WITHOUT BOLD LINE ITS "+" THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD HAS THE POLARITYS STAMPED ON THE BOARD ITSELF UNDER EACH CAPACITOR. EASY 30 MINUTE FIX IF YOU ARE LEARY ABOUT SOILDERING, FIND A FRIEND THAT KNOWS HOW TO. ITS REALLY NOT THAT HARD THOUGH AND YOULL HAVE SOME DECENT ROOM TO WORK WITH. I PROMISE WHEN YOU OPEN IT UP YOU WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY SEE AT LEAST 4 OF THE 6 CAPACITORS BULDGING AT THE TOPS MAYBE EVEN LEAKING BROWNISH STUFF. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR THOUGH AND REPLACE ALL OF THEM WHILE YOUR IN THERE "THE SIX BIGGER ONES ONLY" IF ANY OF YOU NEED FURTHER HELP OR ANY OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PROJECT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME AT BTLEE26@HOTMAIL I DAMN NEAR WENT CRAZY TRYING TO FIND A SOLUTION ON HOW TO FIX THIS THING SINCE I SPENT OVER 300 BUCKS FOR IT NEW. AND IM BY NO MEANS A EXPERT WHEN IT COMES TO THIS STUFF BUT I DO KNOW A FEW THINGS. AS IM SURE MOST OF YOU DO. TAKE CARE YOU ALL AND THANKS TO THE GY WHO MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT CAPACITORS BEING BAD IN HIS. open it up and check that 6 capacitors. mine had the lines on the screen and eventually died completly. almost certain thats whats wrong. ive had three other people tell me that thier capacitors in thier where buldging/leaking at the tops just check it out if they are your in luck cause its a easy job and cheap if you do it yourself! good luck!
Question of noone?? In one of your posted solutions you mention a 'cold solder joint'. Do you think that is what may be wrong with all of these Zerox monitors?? I posted my problem here on the forum, and quite a few others seem to have experienced the same problem. I eventually sent my unit back to Calif while I visited Thailand for a month. Upon my return I had received the same unit back (via serial number). It has worked properly thus far for 6 months. But they never sent one piece of paper back with the returned unit describing the repair or whatever. I have no idea of what problem and/or how likely it is it will occur again??

My operating system now is Opensuse 11.0 and ti is working fine. Or is it my graphcard "guilty" for this problem?Broken? Graphcard is Gigabyte GeForce6200 256mb.Or is it related to my motherboard,AsRock K7NF2-raid? And here is my system spefications:Mobo AsRockK7NF2_raid,processor amd athlon xp 1900+,1532mb ram,gf 6200 256mb,120 maxtor hdd,80gb hitachi hdd.

My screen keeps having 'fuzzy lines' through it. This happens from time to time. I thought it might be a power issue (not enough) so I am now running PC & Monitor off separate points. I have also used the drivers I got with the monitor (i.e. ran the 915FTPLU.inf files through windows XP). What I find is that the sceen distorts in certain areas - i.e. certain parts of text or images. This sometimes gets quite bad & happens on large parts of the screen. The monitor is being powered by a 512Mb/AGP 8x card at 1024x768 It also has an independent power input Any suggestios as to why this might be? Is there a diagnostics tool that I can get for it? Many thanks for your time & help Cave
