If the cartridge is good and your wiring is good. Then it's either got to be a fault on your amp, or there is a pre-amp in the deck itself faulty. Double check that the amp is working, amps have a pre-amp for record decks, they cause trouble a lot.
If you touch the wires that connect to the cartridge, you should get a buzz on either channel (remove them from the cartridge first). If you don't get a decent buzz, and you know that the amp is working fine, then there's something inside the deck causing the problem. In which case take the bottom off and take a look inside.

It should really be replaced but you can try adjusting the screw on the top of the arm

No power in either turntable

maybe the power source that goes into the deck itself has dissconected, but it is strange that niether would work...so im guessing the decks are fine...it might be your extension cable...or u have had a power surge, if that has happened...then you need to seek profesinal help...and unfortunally, your decks may have died. But check your plugs/extension cables...etc....it should be a basic problem, and easily fixable

Deck fades out when i bring the second deck in (records I mean)

are you running phono pre amps ? are you running pre amps to each deck or one for both decks , if you are running pre amps maybe the power supply is not sufficient to run two decks anymore [ possibly damaged ] but it sounds like a power delivery failure to me . hope this helps

switch off for a will and see.
if still bad. check the circuit board under.

with old electronic devices, capacitors are commly the ones that may go wrong/dry. which would cause oscillatory circuit to generate wrong signals or strobe or feebacks. if you know how to take out the circuit board, check it starting from capacitors.

bad thrust bearing for the platter. use a penetrating oil on the spindle and let stand. then try rotating it after a while.
