You may want to take it down to access the muffler, remove it and check for carbon build up. My Poulan leaf blower quit working one day and refused to start, even with a new spark plug and fresh 40:1 mix ration gas. I decided to take it down completely and discovered my exhaust port waas nearly blocked all the way. I removed the carbon, regapped my spark plug to 0.025 gap, and cleaned the magnets on the fly wheel and ignition module. Once put back together, it started up on the third pull and ran like new.

Pull off the muffler and you should see the piston and ring. Look for carbon buildup...poke the ring to see if it is stuck in it's groove...there should be a bit of spring in the ring. You might see carbon scoring. Stuck ring means low compression which means no start. Carbon buildup is due to too much oil in fuel mixture.

Poulan blower was running - ran out of gas - put gas in - won't start- primed - won't start - let sit - won't start-took cover off - sprayed starter fluid in carb - won't start- -(very little stutter)...

Hello
Does it use a fuel and oil mixture? You probably did that.

Try removing the spark plug and cleaning it with a wire brush or some emery cloth.Make sure you have spark by connecting the plug wire and resting the plug on the metal motor block.

Do not hold the plug in your hand ,if you have no spark you may have a bad magneto.

I have a poulan pro 25cc leaf blower that will not start.....i can barley get it to turn over just a little. it has fresh gas and has only set a couple of weeks.

1) Make sure gas mixture is 40:1 2) Put in new spark plug
If that dosent work try starter fluid to get it going.

Poulan bvm pro 200 gas blower not getting gas

As a service center for Poulan products the usual problems for not starting I see is compression or the cylinder has come loose from the crankcase. Compression needs to be 115 psi minimum. If you remove the plastic muffler cover you can see the cylinder-crankcase joint. Wiggle the spark plug to look for any movement at that joint. If there is any movement the cylinder screws are loose.

Poulan has an excellent 2 year warranty and any service center should be happy to repair it under warranty for any problem.
