Question about Audio & Video Receivers

Wiring crossed? I have already been told to check for the speakers and I have that is not the problem thanks killer_clown! Now I need to know how to get in this thing to check for crossed wires.....I have taken every screw out I can see....about 24 screws....any other suggestions on how to get in this thing???

    sometimes the music will start to play and then I get what sounds like really loud feedback from the speakers...or sometimes the music won't play at all and I get strange thumping, crackling sounds from my speakers.

    there will be no crossed wires in the receiver!

    if you are having a problem with the sound let me know what it is that is happening or not happening

    you may have a component problem(amp) that needs replaced

The problem is the power amp inside , it is failing from being used alot or from cranking it up
the amp can be replaced
if it seems like the volume adjustment does it then the volume adjustment may just need a cleaning , but i believe its the amp failing
