Question about HP PSC 500 All-In-One Printer
If you're running XP, you don't need an installation CD. I have that printer/scanner/copier and XP includes the driver. As well you can use XP's All Programs, Accessories, Scanner and Camera Wizard to scan. Unless your laptop has a parallel port or you have a Docking Station or Port Replicator, you'll need a Parallel to USB Adapter (see http://www.usb-ware.com/expresscard-parallel-port-sy-expc34-1p.htm). The cable my printer came with is part number C6680-80003 (see http://www.partshere.com/online/detail.asp?partno=C6680-80003). Hope this helps.
