Question about Philips 32PW6006 32" TV

2 Answers

Error codes Hi I have the 32inch widescreen model 32pw6006/25. The set keeps switching itself off into standby mode. By doing a bit of research on the internet I have managed to enter the service mode and the set is coming up with the error code of 5 and 11. I also managed to get a copy of the service manual and these error codes are as follows: 5 = device- TDA95xx, error description - POR 3V3 / +8v protection 11 = device - TDA6107/8, error description - current black loop protection I have no idea how to go about fixing these. Any help would be great!! Thanks

My sony widescreen comes off and on for brief periods

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

It's a Sony TV I assumes. The reson for this fault to Sony TVs are many. After witch ON, if it goes to standby mode, indicates some fault to its main baord or power supply regulator section itself. Look for any blinks occurs, after to goes to standby mode. If yes, count the nuber of blinks occur at one time switch ON, These are called blinking codes, and fault indications. If you are somewhat sound in electronics, check this link after counting the number of blinks. Pull up previous posts there, either by its left side bar, or view it in Timeslide option. The site has details about blinking codes to many models of Sony TVs. Check it.

Trying to reset my sony --blinking light 4 times

Its a error code and no reset will cure that.

You can research the code by using the model number and Google but if a kv24fs100 the cost to repair will likely exceed the used value of the set.

Tv wont turn on

well first of all if anything happens when you push the button then the button works! I think you should leave this one to a professional technician. There is a circuit problem that will require advanced knowledge.

'standby' mode and akb error number

AKB 66 in self diagnostic test means...TV goes to standby (shut-off) for AKB problem 66 times. AKB is White-Balance signal and it is not proper or maintained in your TV. So error signal produced and TV goes to shut-down state.
Regardnig Standby button, its available on remote only. If you push TV Power switch, TV will switch ON, push it again to OFF TV. Power Button on remote set TV in standby status and you dont need to push power button of TV itself.

SHARP 29" TV switching off to Standby

have you tried changing the batteries just to elimate this problem

change them

sometimes if the batteries are low in electronic devies, they send a wek signal to its receiver (your tv),

your tv gets confused and then switches itself to standby

if you have changed the batteries and this problem still persists

it can only then be th PSU or power supply unit, take it to your local tv repair shop of mastercare somewhere like that, its going to be cheaper to get it repaired than replacing the whole tv

PSU'S generally 20 to 50 pounds depending on model

don't deo it yourself though unless you've got a capacitor discharger (or a nice 25KV will be on its way to your body)

hop this helps mate, let me know how you get on
