I also replaced the fuser fan and noted the other fan near by not spinning. It may be on a termal switch and just not warm enough to kick on.
Will monitor for more errors first before changing.

That is the fuser fan either running slow or stalled. It is located on the back, looking from the back on the upper left. You will see the slotted opening.
You have to remove the side covers and the top cover to access it, Sometimes taking off the silver sticker in the middle, removing the rubber cap and oiling it will help.
To buy one. Go onto google and search for " the parts drop". Call them and ask for Britt or Joe, they will know what fan and be fair on a price.
Taking your time it should take half an hour to an hour to replace. Not hard, just take your time and make sure you note how you disassemble. You will be fine.

I have had this problem on several occasions and I have come up with a good solution to the problem. The only tool you will need is a hammer. You have to go around to the back left of the printer where the fuser fan is located. You can tell it by the slotted area sticking out. Now, take the hammer and hold it at a 45 degree angle to the slotted area. And applying a liberal amount of force, proceed to attemt to insert the hammer through the slotted area. If you do this right, the fan should come out of the printer...in pieces. Thus, solving the problem. If there is no fan, there is no problem, right?

Hey, I know this is a somewhat old post, but if anyone else is having fan errors on there 7700, 7750, or 7760 you should replace the three fans to clear the error (part# 7750-Z2 ). Here is a video that shows you how to locate and replace all three fans.

This error code means the life of the black developer is at its end. It is probably time to replace all four developers and the only reset is replacing the engine control board.

The costs will come around 1000usd I recommend you buy a new one.

I keep getting Error code 48 Fan Failure Lock on our Xerox Phaser 7750

That is the fuser fan. It is either running slow or stalled.
You have to remove the rear and top cover to access it. It is located on the upper right back side of the machine looking from the rear.
You can remove the fan, peel off the silver label then remove the small rubber cap in the middle. Behind that rubber cap is the fan bearing, It is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
You can flush it with alcohol then add a highly refined oil to that bearing, Replace the rubber cap and then clean the outside with alcohol, then put a small piece of tape over the rubber cap to keep it in place. Most of the time. I would say 75 % of the time that will fix the problem. If it doesn't fix it in the long term you wol have to replace the fan. Don't call Xerox directly, Go onto google and look up a business called " the parts drop". Call them and ask for Britt or Joe> I dont work for them, but have purchased parts from them for years. They are reliable, fairly priced and honest. Great people to do business with.

Phaser 7750DN fan failure Error Code 48

Yep, the fuser fan is he one that fails. You can remove the top and rear covers and then carefully remove the shrouding and whatever else makes it easy to get at.
What you can do if you dont have a fan handy is, remove the silver label on the fan. Behind that label there is a black rubber cap over the bearing in the fan. You can flush that bearing out with alcohol several times and then use a very highly refined oil , to lubricate it. Just pretty much fill up that little hole around the bearing, put the rubber cap back on and then wipe it clean with alcohol and tape it back on.
If you need a fan, Go onto google. Type in ( the parts drop) not parenthesise.and call them, Ask for Britt, I dont work for them, but they are 100 percent professional and will charge you a fair price.
Cleaning and lubing will fix it about 60 percent of the time.

Xerox Phaser 7750

There is a motor in the laser called the polyogon motor, It turns the mirrors in the laser.
It most likely is not starting fast enough. The laser isnt that hard to remove. But if it has failed, it is pretty expensive.
Let me know if you want to attempt to pull it.

CA1 error code on my xerox workcentre 416

Pretty much yes. That message is that the Polygon mirror, is not spinning. That is the motor/mirror assembly inside the laser unit. There is a slight chance it is just sticky, but that motor failure is not uncommon at all in that product.
You can try going on google and searching a business called " the parts drop" and call, ask for Britt. There are 2 different lasr units for that machine, simply called a large and small laser unit.

Fan Failure Error 54

1 of 2 things.
You need to clean or replace the fan.
You have to remove the back, right side and top cover to access that fan.It is near the back just behind the fuser module.
It could also be the low voltage power supply fan. Most likely the fuser fan.
Once you remove the fan, there is a label on it, remove the label, There is a rubber plug behind the label, remove the plug and drip some lubricant into the fan. Reassembly and it should be ok.
I would recommend replacing the defective fan though.
Here is a very reliable part source.
https://www.partsdrop.com/store/

If you call ask for Britt and specify the model number and that you need a fuser fan and probably order a Power supply fan, Neither are very expensive.
Have both on hand to be 100 percent sure the problem is resolved, But its a 90 percent fuser fan failure code. It operated in a heated area and can dry out faster.
