Question about HP PSC 1410v All-in-One Printer
Create a new folder on "C" drive...a name like "HP Printer Scanner" would be a good choice.
Download software to that folder from:
This is a 310 MB file for Windows 98/ME through XP .
After downloading, I would restart your computer.
OK. Now click "Start" then "Run" use "Browse" to go to the folder you made and click on the icon in the new folder.
Follow the directions.
This is an ".exe" file and not an autorun like on the original CD.

I DONT HAVE THE SOFTWARE WHEN I DOWNLOAD IT AND PRESS THE RUN BUTTON IT SAYS DEVICE NOT READY WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO FIX THIS

Download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers to, that should solve your problem.
You will find it by follow the link bellow
Select your OS, download and instal the files
