The only thing I could suggest is to go to the canon websote and update all the software for the 700F so that they are compatible with 10.7.3. The other thing is to check that your quicktime software is uptodate as well.

Will not recognize 5th image on negative strip because 4 and 5 overlap (slight double exposure). How do I scan 5th image?

I inserted my negative holder in backwards on my Nikon 5000 35 mm scanner. Then I could get the last (5th) slide scanned. But I can not get the scanner to work on my new IMac because of no working driver. Silver Fast has no drivers for the Nikon 5000

I cannot use my AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 with Snow Leopard

I had the same problem. Upgraded from G5 PowerPC Tiger OS to iMac Snow Leopard. Have a Snapscan 1236U (ScanWise) and got the same error message ("cannot find the current ColorSync System Profile"). Downloaded trial version of VueScan ( , scanner worked, so purchased the VueScan Professional Edition ($79.99) (Standard Version is $39.99). My scanner is now working GREAT!

I need the drivers for it I won;t run with my IMAC

Check Canon's website - all their drivers are available there in many languages.
it would help if you indicated which OS you are running as some Canon drivers don't work with every version of the OS.
If you find that yours is one of them, then go to and buy a copy of VueScan. It will work with your scanner.

Are there 50 Pin SCSI from Minolta QS 35 to USB connectors ?

You cannot add SCSI to the iMac. There is a SCSI to USB adapter cable available from Ratoc but it's a gamble as to whether it will work or not. You would have to use VueScan software to drive it too.
