So either the computer isn't generating a video signal, the cable isn't carrying the signal to the monitor, or else the monitor isn't capable of receiving a video signal. To test this, first try a video cable that you know is good, in case your cable is bad, If it works with the other cable, the problem was your original video cable. If it still doesn't work, put your original cable back, and hook another computer up to the monitor. If the monitor makes the same message, the problem is with the monitor. If the other computer works when connected to this monitor, your problem was that the original computer isn't booting (which could be due to several reasons I will list below), or the video adapter is broken.Possible reasons for the computer not booting: bad power supply, bad power button, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad motherboard component. If you determine that it isn't booting, unplug everything except the keyboard mouse monitor and power cord, to see if that makes a difference. If it boots after that, something you unplugged was causing the problem, plug them each back in one by one, rebooting in between, and when it stops booting properly, the last thing you plugged in is causing the problem.

Mine did that too, I have sent it to Acer for Warranty Acerization, it came back in a week booting fine. Worked for 3 months and then quit again. These boards are used y other cheapos like Gateway and Packard Bell. Solution - trow away the motherboard, keep the CPU and RAM.

SOURCE: my monitor reads no signal input

Could be your graphics cards....
Was you tampering in BIOS before it started the "No Signal Input"?
If so, it'd wise to take your clock out and put it back in.
(Clock = brattrie in the PC tower, Leave it out for 2 - 9 hours maybe even a day)

My acer aspire m3641 just shows black screen

Is the computer booting? Fans spin? LED's blink? Sound? Have you tried another monitor? If so, check and reseat ALL cables. The specs indicate you have Integrated NVidia 7050 Graphics Adapter. You may need a aftermarket PCIe x16 Graphics Card to install in a open slot. Verify the cables are good and the monitor works on another computer first.

My acer aspire m1640 crashed and now when i turn it on nothing happens the monitor says no signal

Sound like a bad motherboard. You are getting the error because no signal is been sent to the monitor. Make sure the memory is inserted properly and firmly. Check all other cards and plugs are all inserted and firmly sitted. and try to boot the system, if nothing stll happen, you may have a bad motherboard

My acer switchs on but the moniter has stopped working it clicks back to standby and says no input signal

That is because no signal is sent from your computer to the monitor, I suspect your computer is not booting up. Does you computer sound a beep on boot-up? or no sound at all? Have you system unit checked on the nearest support center, or you can troubleshoot it if you want, just send here the details of your troubleshooting and we will be happy to guide you with that.

"Input Not Supported" after adjusting screen resolution

What resolution are you trying to run? The native resolution for your monitor is 1440 x 900, setting to that should fix your issue

I have just set up new desktop Acer. Error message: No input signal.

check the website for drivers. But it seems to me that there is another problem most computer boot up no matter what screen is hook up. have you tried any other monitors ? If you have and the work im not sure what your issue is but i would say that most likely if another monitor works that it is the monitor but if none of them work it is a graphic card issue. If you could let me know what you are running and i can help more i.e what window's and what type of graphics card you are using

if you have windows 98 boot disk put that in, the firt thing you do is to go to f-disk and change the partions in it, then format c: drive. take out disk in A drive put in New windows XP CD and restart. the disk will run and install itself. and thats it. right now your partions are set to read only windows 95, 98, there are 2 options to choose from I belive the one you need is 32.
