Buzzing sound in front of Toshiba 62HM94

Hi!
I read your answer to another user but you ended with asking if the sound is from the front of the DLP set or the rear. The "bug-zapping" sound I am hearing prevents the TV from turning on sometimes, but not always, and definately sounds like it is coming more from the front of the set, to the left of center.

I don't think it is the bulb because it does eventually turn on in MOST cases, but I am afraid if I don't fix it soon it will be unusable as it is continually getting longer of a buzz and needing more and more restarts on its own to actually turn on.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thanks so much....

Ben

I have a loud buzzing noise on my Toshiba DLP 46" projection TV. It is not the fan, it works fine. In fact the TV works great and has a good picture. The buzzing used to go away after awhile. Now it...

In some cases the buzz is external. The vibration of the unit may just cause a tray, flat surface, or other surrounding attachments to rattle and buzz. Look for anything that may be loose or laying on or about the TV.

Why does it make a buzzing sound

The buzzing sound could be a color wheel (high pitched or fan like) or the lamp and or Ballast.

Try to describe it more and do you hear it with the sound muted or off?

Toshiba 62hm94 pluged in but getting no power at all. No green or red light on.

Hi:
CHeck for open line fuse you may of had a surge that blew the fuse especially when there is no power indication at all. IF no fuses are blown on the power supply then suspect a faulty power supply circuit.

Humming sound coming from tv

I've already paid for the premium service and yet did not get any support. Why would you advertise online chat support when your experts will not assist. I think it will be a good website if it operated as advertised, unfortunately it doesnt. I am very disappointed in the response time and so-called service. Oh yeah my tv is still making a buzzing sound.

Humming/buzzing sound

That could be either the ballast, or colorwheel. Does the sound get louder at the rear of the tv or louder in front. let me know I may be able to help you.

Toshiba 56HM195 56 in HD DLP Loud Buzzing and color distortion

If the sound, sounds more like a Hum with some vibration chances are the Cooling fan located behind the lamp is going bad, about $20 to repair, if its a high pitch hum most likely the Color Wheel and if thats the case about $30.
Good luck, my fan just went bad now seeing green dots everywhere, so debating on just junking it out or fixing it, with winter coming on might just breakdown and buy LCD and say the heck with DLP from now on.
Good luck to you..
