Question about Casio PRG-40T-7 Pathfinder

Open Question

Spring fell out of PAG 40 Casio Pathfinder

I've successfully replaced the battery of a Casio Pathfinder PAG 40 (module # 2271). While replacing the battery I noticed one small sping (silver in color) fell out from back side.

Does anyone know how and where to put it back.

I've seen a similar issue but for Model PRG-40T.

Me too. A small silver spring fell out while I was replacing the four batteries. The baro connection also broke. I guess I should have unscrewed the little screw. Oh well.

I had the reverse problem with the beeper not working after a battery change. This was later diagnosed as being due to a small spring being missing, which might be a clue for you.

This is described in the following link:

The silver spring goes in a very small hole in the plastic casing on the bottom side of the watch located next to the wristband under the sensor. Hope this helps

you can go to this link and in the upper right corner type in the model number not the module number (there are instructions for finding the model number if you don't know it) I found a band for a watch that is over 8 years old on here.

Casio PAG 40 I took it apart to replace bateries and a spring came out and I don't know where it goes. The 2 gold ones are in place.

It's probably the small spring which makes electrical contact between the watch aluminum back and the outer housing, presumably to provide an electrical ground connection to the outside triple sensor. I've attached a photo with the location indicated by the yellow circle and arrow. It goes in the little hole and will fall out if you're not careful.11_14_2012_6_41_27_pm.jpg

When using the barometer or altimeter on my my pag 40 - 2271 it shows err. How do I fix it? Do you know what page in the users guide shows how or gives directions on how to fix?

Same problem with my SPF-40, module 2273, after a small helical compression spring, silver color, fell out. I could not determine where it is suppose to be located. It could be the barometric reference spring for sensing the barometric pressure.

I replaced all four batteries and i still have nothing .inside the watch it says to jumper the A C point with a twizers. what is the AC point and where.this s a casio 2271 2years old had factory batteries...

Casio battery changes are quite tricky. If you look closely at the watch module there is a place for the battery and a v-small depression usually circular on the silver module .There will be the letters AC in small writing. You need to touch the depression AC and the battery at the same time with a conductive tweezers. This shorts the module and re sets the watch.Make sure any seals go back in to protect from water/dust.

How to restart my casio module no 2271 watch

mcdevito75 here, I'm figureing you"ve changed the battery, Pressing the MODE button should re-start your watch. If you didn"t change the battery and your watch just stopped, try pressing the MODE or any button to re-start the watch. If nothing, change the battery and repeat the above instructions.

Changed dead batteries on PAG-40. Still one dead watch

There is a very small sticker with very small red print just adjacent to the battery compartment. This little sticker states "once batteries are replaced, you need to touch AC with tweezers". I did it with metal tweezers and the watch display came to life. Good luck!
