I'm not sure why you need it calibrated if your Docotor says it's accurate but here is a web site link....

I hope this helps.

Do not rely on the readings of the cuff BP devices. They are known be inaccurate. I'm taking mine back for the arm band type. here's a review from consumer report. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/blood-pressure-monitors/buying-guide.htm

I'm 66 yrs of age my blood pressure is 155 over 98, is that too high?

Hellfire, yes. You need to visit a doctor and get checked out. You need medication to control it, and then you either stay on the medication or modify your lifestyle a bit, a bit of exercise, watching salt intake and coffee intake. Stress is also not good!

My blood pressure was similar to yours and I have been on meds for 20 years. I am 63 in a few weeks. One thing if you are using a blood pressure monitor, you should do three readings. The first is always high. relax, breath deeply and slowly, and take it again.

There is a chart here. Get it sorted out sooner rather than later, like Monday!

Blood pressure monitor readings too low, inaccurate

I have used Omron monitors for around 2 years now and I have not found any problem with it. The error may be because you went to the doctor, your blood pressure must have changed since there was a time gap. There is no need to get worried.

I use Omron blood pressure monitors and I can say that they are up to the mark. Their readings are very accurate and have not caused any problems so far.

I need to know that my blood pressure monitor readings are still accurate. Where can I get my Boots (Omron) blood pressure monitor re collaborated? Thank you.

Generally, the recalibration has to be done by the manufacturer, as the calibration has to be certified. Most manufacturers charge little or nothing for this service. Contact the number in your Owner's Manual concerning how they want you to send it to them.

Hope this helped and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My Omron HEM-780 needs to be calibrated. It seems to read about 20 points lower than the blood pressure unit used in my doctor's office. I am not sure if the HEM-780 is capable of being calibrated or...

Recalibration normally has to be done by the manufacturer. As they have to certify the calibration. Keep in mind, that it is not unusual for your BP to read a bit higher at the doctor's office, than it does at home. It's sarcastically called "White coat hypertension." Which translated means, your blood pressure rises a bit at the doctor's office due to anxiety. Or it's being taken at a different time of day, than you take it at home, in a relaxed atmosphere.

Hope this helped you.

Our Omron BP 755 is reading high. How can we adjust so it reading correctly

My first concern, is how do you know it's reading high? Did you compare the reading(s) with one taken in your doctor's office? If that is the case, it may need to be re-calibrated. In which case, only the manufacturer can do that, as it has to be certified as accurate. Most manufacturers do it at no charge or a small charge, plus shipping. If you are relying on the reading you take at home, then it is well worth it to have it re-calibrated.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know.
