Enter 'kodak easyshare images cutline' in google. A link will appear to a kodak help site 'What shall I do when my picture has a zigzag line through it.....?' The kodak solution works (I've tried it!). It's laborious but you get your pictures back.

Without using the Sony software, can you successfully write onto a CD-recordable disk?
Try: open "My Documents"
Click with the SECOND (usually the RIGHT) mouse button on one of your documents.
Choose 'Send To'.
Choose the CD/DVD device.
A dialog window will open.
Click "write these files".
See if the whole process works fine with your device.
Press STOP to stop recording.
Click "save" and save the recording to a file in your "My Documents" folder.
Open your "My Documents" folder.
What is the "size" of the file?
Click with the SECOND (usually the RIGHT) mouse-button on the file, and click 'Play' (with Windows Media Player).
Does it play?
Does Windows Media Player show the correct length (minutes:seconds) for the recording?
Normally with a digital camera there is a cd following with the purchase !
You need to put the cd in the cd/dvd drive and "install" the software. After that you should bee able to see the picture taken with the digital camera.
Normally you inport the pictures to the computer and then you can see them. For inport the picture you need a cable that normally follow with the purchase, if not then you need to buy one cable compatibel to your digital camera. The cable you put in the computer and then in then camera on the other end.
