The Camera Detected message is your PC detecting the scanner on the Printer - What happens when you try and print?
Also, try the following:
Remove the printer USB cable from your PC -> Restart your PC -> Log back onto your Profile -> Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Printers & Faxes -> Delete all printer entries -> Restart your PC -> Log back onto your profile -> Plug the printer USB cable into the back of your PC -> Go into Printers & Faxes -> Right Click on the Kodak 5100 AiO entry -> click "Set as Default" -> Now try to print.
* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing * Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again * if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead
Contact Kodak Support who will ask you to re-insert cartridge, Print Clean, Calibrate and run print test (press Photo & Copy together) then tell you that you need a new Print Cradle! Which they will supply FREE of Charge by overnight carrier.
First thing you can try is running the printhead cleaning. if you double click your status monitor (bottom right hand corner of windows screen) then click the maintenance button on the window. Then click the printhead cleaning button. Try this a few times then attempt another print.
If you dont have the printer connected to a PC there is a combination of 2 buttons on the printer you need to press to do a printhead cleaning. Not sure what they are.
If after you run a few printhead cleanings the black prints still dont print well, the only thing you can do is call kodak customer service they will have you update your firmware and software and reinstall the printhead a few times but in the end you can get them to send you a new printhead. The printheads are not sold in stores.
