Are these wired or wireless, USB or PS2 connections..

PS2 Connectors should only be worked when the computer is Turned Off
USB can be Hot Swapped..

If USB try another USB port ..If PS2 make sure they weren't swapped by accident
Check your BIOS
Try another another Keyboard / Mouse

I have lost the usb adapter to my wireless mouse

If it uses a PS/2 connector (round with a bunch of holes in it) most computers have an input on the back near the top, usually green/pink, if you got the connector it will work no problem you won't notice a difference.

I lost my wireless mouse usb connector....what can i do at this point

You may be able to buy one from craigslist or ebay if someone has one that is the exact same.

Newer wireless mice have features where the USB connector is universal but this would only work on future mice. This way if you have to buy a new mice if you lose it again you can buy the USB connector separately. Sometimes though the mice itself is cheaper.

I know any major retailer sells mice for pretty cheap on sale from $10-20 for a basic mouse if that.

Software for logitech wireless mouse&keyboard as adapter lost

If you are talking about the wireless transmitter--well, without it, you are dead in the water. I would say you could contact Logitec to see if you can get another one. The adapter and keyboard/mouse are paired to each other.

hi Karnarc.
How do I troubleshoot my Gateway wireless keyboard and mouse? How do I troubleshoot my wireless keyboard and mouse?
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard and mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless keyboard and mouse.
  1. Make sure the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Some systems ship with the receiver already preinstalled in the unit itself. Please check your mouse to see if there is a receiver inside of the battery compartment door.
  2. Make sure wireless keyboard is not on a metallic surface.
  3. Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices.
  4. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.
  5. Check the batteries in the keyboard and mouse to make sure they are installed correctly.
  6. Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.
  7. Verify the On/Off switch on the keyboard and mouse are switched to On.
  8. Some receivers, keyboards, and mice may have a connect button. If so, follow the steps below:
    1. Plug the USB receiver into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    3. Press the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard to activate the wireless connection.
    4. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    5. Press the connect button on the bottom of the mouse to activate the wireless connection.

Wireless keyboard and optical mouse

Thanks! I fixed the problem by installing a USB mouse and using fn+f9. That unlocked the mouse so I could use the pointer leaving just the keyboard problem. I then tried reconnecting the wireless keyboard (by using the button on the receiver and under the keyboard) Hey Presto!!
