My pant legs get very twisted when I get them out of the washing machine. I do not feel that I am overloading the washer. I try to mix the clothes up - 2 jeans 6 shirts socks and underwear in one load.

can you explain a little bit more about the origin of the noise.
-First of all, make sure the floor is rock solid and does move at all. Is not, a solution can be to install a granite square as base to put the washer on top of it. this extra lower mass will prevent the machine pulsation the vibrate the floor and also the machine itself.
-to prevent sound propagation over the floor, you can put a little square of carpet under each legs of the machine.
-of course you can make sure the machine is horizontal; to do so, first use a horizontal level rule crossing the corner of the top of the washer.
-And during the sping check if all the legs are supporting the same pressure, trying adjust then with a constant binary (feeling the same force on the 4 legs with your hands when twisting them.)
-if the noise is from inside the washer: maybe it is from the panels: then you can buy a isolation layer to put inside the machine - check how to put it, in order to make sure this will not disable the free movement of the trum.
It's an inherent problem with this washer due to the designed movement of the agitator. My wife had the same problem. We solved this and the multitude of other problems we had with this washer by going to home depot and buying the cheapest washer they had. Told the rep we wanted a washer with no computer, no special cleaning agitation designs, etc. He said "you want this one". we bought it, they delivered it and we now have cleaner clothes and no twisted sleeves, pant legs, error messages. When they were ready to leave they ask my wife if she wanted to keep the old washer or wanted them to haul it away. Her response was "I never want to see that thing again."
Hi, check leveling of machine, machine should be proper leveled on all side, use spirit level to adjust legs, there should be no rocking motion, in any direction after leveling, put hands on top of machine and try to rock it sids to side, there should be no movements, also check for overloading, be careful when washing things like bath towels, etc, they absorb lots of water, eg. one regular bath towel are equivalent, to six pants, six tops. or possible springs or bushings broken, you need open machine and check.
