DO NOT try to take the PSP appart on your own.... You're right, you will end up doing more damage than good. Both the front and back of your PSP are 'welded' toghether. It's a cheap fix if you take it to Game Stop or possibly Best Buy.

Wii U gamepad touscreen and buttons won't respond

For other users that this solution may not have worked for and your wii u was working previously (not DOA), your problem may be as simple as a screen protector.

This was our problem, no buttons worked, the sceen didnt respond correctly but everything else seems normal. It seems that nintendo's hybrid resistive/capacative screen can sense the screen protector sometimes and will accept it as an entry.

Since the screen is always on, it can act similar to holding down a key down on a computer where no other entry will be excepted until the botton is released.... or in our case until you remove the screen protector. Removed and reapplied and all is well.

SYSTEM DOESN'T RECOGNIZE CONTROLS HOW DO I FIX

I'm guessing the issue is that the PS3 isn't responding to your controller input.

Ensure that the PS3 controller is actually on. You can turn on the controller by pressing the Playstation button in the center of the controller. There will be a red light on top of the controller indicating that it is on.

If no light shows up, it's possible that the controller simply has dead batteries. Grab your controller charge cable (should have been included with controller, looks like this) and connect the controller to the PS3 while the console is on. Give it a few minutes, then press the center Playstation button again and see if it responds.

It's also possible that the controller just isn't synced to your PS3. Again, grab the charge cable and connect it to your PS3 while it's on. Then press the Playstation button while the controller is connected. It should sync it to the PS3.

If none of that is working for you, there may be an issue with the controller itself. The easiest fix it to reset the controller. There should be a tiny button in a hole on the back of the controller. Just press it (you'll need a paperclip or something to do it) and the controller will reset. I believe you'll have to re-sync the controller (using the cable again).

You should also try syncing other controllers to your PS3 to make sure that the issue isn't with the PS3 itself (which would be awful; I've never heard a PS3 breaking like that but I suppose there is always a first). If other controllers work then either your controller's battery is dead or the controller is actually broken. I don't think Sony repairs/replaces controllers so you may have to buy a new one.

It may be worthwhile to checkout their support page first, to see if anything helps before shelling out 50$ for a controller:

Sony Support
Sony Repair
Amazon - PS3 Controllers (I recommend Silver; it's ****).

Hope it all works out!

X triangle square circle button not responding everything else works my brother said he dropped but im sure he did more than that (so i am not really sure what happen ) help please --i cleaned the buttons...

Hi,
That means the button pad connector might be disconnected to the main board inside that PSP.

Better bring it to your technician to check on it. To access that area your PSP will be open up, the connector is behind the LCD screen.

Hope FixYa helps you out!

Just got a new wii and it was working fine but now the controller has stopped working and the wii wont connect to the tv???? Can you help????

Hello!

First: Check to see if the batteries are good, easiest way to do this is try putting different batteries in that you know are good.

Second: If your batteries are not the problem, then first, open the memory card door (little door on the front of the console under the CD slot) and press the red button(or known as the sync button) and open the battery case and press the little red button(or known as the sync button) and it should reconnect.

Third: If the Wii is showing that your Wii Mote is connected but it isn't responding, make sure your Sensor bar is in a clearly visible location in front of or on top of the TV. Make sure that it is properly plugged into the Wii in back.

Fourth: If none of these resolved the issue it is likely that your Wii Mote is just flat out broken. If you just purchased your Wii I suggest contacting Nintendo to RMA (return) the Wii Mote for a new one.

Error message comes up: cannot find hard drive

Hello paddy and welcome to FixYa. The issue you are having is a sign that your Hard Disk Drive is failing. Let's try something here that may help before we get drastic. First place your finger on the PS3 power button and hold it down until you hear two beeps. After you hear the second beep let go of the button. This should startup your PS3 and prompth you to connect your controller to the console using your USB to miniUSB cable. After doing that you will have to press the PS button on your controller. You should see a series of options. This is Very Important as you must make sure you select the correct option of you could stand the chance of losing everything on your drive which I am positive you don't want. You want to select Restore File System. This in turn should bring up a screen saying reading Corrupted System Data Your PS3 will now replace this data. Choose continue and wait for the process to complete and you should be all set. If this solution did not work then your Hard Disk Drive must be replaced which can easily be done yourself. You will need to purchase a 2.5 inch SATA Hard Drive which will run you about $80 to $100. The instructions to preform this can be found in your PS3 owners manual. I hope this was helpful and everything works out for you. Good luck.

I'm playing modern warfare 2 and when i try online against other people and find a game it says '' testing matches: 0.0% - 0/24 good games... 24 potential games found'' and then it doesn't load any players...

I don't know how far the PS3 Network is with resolving their current issue, but it's effecting pretty much every PS3 (except slim's) connected to the internet. Some players are losing trophies, some are losing in-game data, and some lose all functionality of their PS3's. Google PS3 Network Issue to read the most current updates. Please adhere to the warnings and limit PS3 usage until the problem is fully resolved. It has something to do with the clock functions.

Please let me know if i've helped you out.

respectfully,

Don

I have repaired my red rings the xbox is running and everything is great except for...my disc tray will not open at all. I tried going on the dashboard and opening the disc tray this way and it still will...

If you hear the motor trying to open it then slap the top
firmly as you press eject that should break it free ,
If that's the case it's just hanging up on the front flange.
You know what that means ... Take it apart again and clear
the snag . if you don't hear the motor then the
power cable to the drive got pulled lose ether way
you gotta strip it again. Thats kinda easy .

Hope that helped a little
