Question about Dryers
There are generally two things which can cause this. #1 is a poor vent. The air coming out outside your house at the dryer vent must be a strong flow. If it is not, clean vent and get rid of as much flex vent as possible. Goal is to have a very strong flow of air. #2, most times caused in large part to #1, is that one section of the twin section heating element has burnt out, necessitating element replacement.

If your element is operating and drawing about 20 amps when on, your problem may be the thermostat (temperature dial) or the moisture sensor (if applicable). My dryer has 2 heating elements.

Heating element Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it.
Type in model No at search tab to find parts availability

it sounds like a clog in vent.if yours vents up thru roof you may need to have a chimney sweep come out and sweep vent.check and make sure the vent hose is net kinked or full of lint.
