Question about Dell Modems
While online the power went out for a second and since then we have not been able to connect to internet. Have dial-up and when try to connect just get error message "Unable to establish connection" - no dial tone sound at all - Checked with ISP and connection/settings ok. Ran Modem diagnostic test and it failed - Dell code 04 -
Well !! according to me you've got a programming problem in your modem due to electricity fluctuation so , to solve this check if u hv a user manual of your modem ... if u have then its really good...
u will find a re-programming isp code ...
now to solve this first switch your modem on then go to any browser and type in the isp code there which is somewhat like " 192.168.1.1 " etc.
type that in the address bar and click enter ..
find the reboot option in the menu and click it..
your modem will reboot and then your internet will start working again !!
now just connect to internet via your default connection ....
your problem is solved....
