Question about Sony KP-57WV700 57" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a 5 year old Sony projection tv. When I turn it on it has great color then after a few seconds, maybe minutes, it turns to blue. I can see the images barely. The sound is good. After I turn it off several times (10-20) the color will stay, but today it goes to blue.
Maybe as simple as:
1. Convergence Problem - look at CONVERGENCE GALLERY . Maybe Intermittent IC causing blue shading. If not then ...
2. Corroded Green or Red CRT socket pins, or CRT board defective, causes intermittent R or G, then Blue dominates.
3. Blue CRT with internal short, blue dominates intermittently.
Most likely convergence.

Please confirm that your model is KP-57WV700. Also, have you noticed any pattern with when the problem occurs? Is it worse when "warmed up" or cold?
