SOURCE: what are my options for getting online with my cf-27???
O.k. First off the aerial is obsolete. It was designed specifically for wireless emergency services, ie... police, fire depts, and ambulances, etc.. that these machines were initialy used by. This wireless network no longer exists. So, you will need to get a universal wireless card, either bus or usb port, it doesn't matter. You can find one of these cards at Walmart, Besybuy, or on line. They range in price anywhere from $30 to $125. The $30 to $40 range cards will work fine for you. Keep in mind that these cards are for your wireless home router or a place that offers free wifi. If you would like a wireless connection anywhere at anytime, then you will need to go through your cellular provider and purchase a wireless airtime card. These cards cost around $150 and have a monthly charge of around $60. The price of convenience, what are you going to do?

Hi,
The NIC (ethernet port) is part of the laptop motherboard. To fix something like that you will have to be good at micro soldering.
I find it strange that there is a tab on the port itself, the locking tab's are usually on the RJ-45's (ethernet) cables themselves like in this picture>>>>
Regards.
