Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

Knocking, moving & won't complete spin cycle

We just moved and hooked up our HE3t. Now it is making a banging sound and scoots around. It could not finish spining the clothes and they were very wet (I had to wring them out). It said there was only 1 min left on the cycle and wouldn't shut off. I assume this is because it wasn't spinning properly. Any suggestions?

You can remove the lower acess panel( 3 screws along the bottom front, form there youll see 4 suspension/ shock absorbers. make sure they are all attached, chances are they dislodhed in the move, they should snap right back into holders if need be.

Sounds like something is knocking around in the back of the washer. On the spin cycle, the noise is very loud anyway, but it sounds like there is something banging around inside. The drum moves around...

ok open the door
make sure the thing is empty
try to move the inner tub
if you can shke it side to side anything but around
you have a broken spinner support

GE Profile - Loud knocking on spin cycle

Just random input, I apologize if this is of no help to you. I've only experienced this with my washer when clothes somehow get bunched up on one side of it.  The best I can tell you at the moment is to make sure there is relatively equal distribution of clothes around the "washer bucket thingy" if you hear the bang bang bang again.

Loud banging noise when machine goes into spin mode. sounds like it is banging on the side. Please help !

Usually this is an out-of-balance condition caused by too much weight on one side of the tub, move the clothes around and try again.

Washing Machine Moves in Spin Cycle

There are 2 things you can do.
All washing machines have an off balance shut off, some are touchy, some let it run around the house. With wht machine empty, lean it towards you, on the 2 front feet, about 2 or 3 inches and let it drop. The self leveling feet in the rear must BOTH make good floor gontact and sometimes, just the weight of the machine will not adjust them. The other thing is, make sure the load is evenly distributed. Coats, blankets, small rugs etc. are very heavy when wet and they tend to throw all of the weight to one side.
There is no screw holding the yub in place. It hangs on the center post, where the agitator goes. There is however, what's called a snubber. It is a rubber device that looks like a flattened suction cup, that comes in contact with the tub. It helps keep the tub from jumping around too much.
