Before you give you on the drowned Razor, try wrapping it in plastic wrap and put it in a warm dry place for a couple days. It will work enough to at least get your numbers off to transfer them to another phone. I have actually had one work fine after doing this. I didn't even have to replace it.

I have a uniden 1480 the base seems to have quit working i have replaced it before is there something I can do to fix this

if your meaning by this statement that it no longer charges the handset , but the page handset button still works (proving the thing is not totally dead) then yes ive had great results cleaning the electric contact points both on handset and down in pocket on base that handset drops into , with a New pencil eraser (not a used one, graphite and all) just twirl it a few times on each contact till it gleams again , blow dust away, i'll bet it charges again

No Dail tone on Line 2. We have 4 lines in total. Today when we pick up line 2, it's open and there is no dial tone. How do we fix this?

It's a good bet that the line is dead before it comes into the building. Call your service provider and start a trouble ticket.

Uniden 900 MHz EXS 9110 is dead

Sound to me like you just need to replace the battery pack. Radio shack is a great place for phone batteries. If not, try www.batteriesplus.com
Good luck.

The displays on my Motorola V6 Razr have gone blank and I can't make or receive calls. This started after a very light drop, flat on it's back

The case had become slightly warped. The lefthand side of the display hinge is also the main earth/ground contact for the display and this contact was no longer solid. There is a small gold plated contact that mates with the centre of the hinge pin.
Unfortunately, the phone body required a little bit of squeezing to make the contact good again. I used a quickgrip type builders clamp to apply just a small amount of pressure to the case. The phone is now fully functional.

I have a motorola razer cell phone that has been working fine. today i had just talked with some one on it and it diplayed INSERT SIM i have tried taking battery out and sim card and re-inserted it...

I had this same problem with my razr adn I hated that phone because of it. Make sure the sim card is pushed in all the way. Clean the contacts on the sim card itself (you know the gold parts) and make sure the contacts where it meets the phone are clean also. Make sure the metal part that holds the sim card in is securing the card close to the phone and it's actually making contact.

It always just took some fiddling like you are doing to get it working again, but the problem never went away. Do you have insurance on your phone? Maybe you can replace it or upgrade it based on which plan you have and which provider you use. I would never buy another razr because my husband and I had about three of them total and they always had glitches.

Even if this doesn't solve the problem, I hope it makes you feel better to know that you are not the only one feeling the pain!
