I have had this machine for 3 years and have replaced the handle 8 times.
The door sticks, the pastic handle is awful and the worset part is whirlpool will do nothing about it. Each handle is about $22 and only lasts about 4 months before it breaks again. Does anyone esle have this problem?
-   Same problem. Can't seem to get Whirlpool to offer any help. The plastic is cheap and I don't want to keep buying another cheap handle!

-   I have the same problem having replaced the washer door handle three times. As a Plastics Engineer this is one of the poorest designed components I have ever seen. I think this was on purpose to sell replacement parts at tremendous markups. Doesn't speak very highly of Whirlpool does it?

-   Yes, We have had the same problem. We have replaced the part about 3 times. The store where we bought the handle sells them to us for about $3.

-   My door handle just broke yesterday!!! I couldn't believe it when I tugged just slightly to open the door and the handle came right off in my hand! When my husband got home I showed him and he too was shocked, looking at the warranty and finding out that it was up the DAY BEFORE and then to find out that Whirlpool wouldn't event cover it anyway! On top of all of that the window on the front of the door is cracked straight through the middle. This happened when I opened it too far! What? Why would the door crack that easily? After paying over 2,500 for the set I am dumbfounded by the **** quality!

-   I have the same problem and use very little 'pull'.-   Guest
as you say the door sticks , so the handle is not the issue , your latch is , either it is not lubed or out of line .or has some plastic damage inside it, it should only take a few ounces of pull , use your pinkie and only a small strain and its open. any more and you have your issue . its the latch. unless its rubbing around the other plastic panel parts nothing should touch.

Our Duet just doesn't clean very well anymore. There's soap residue in the clothes sometime, and the clothes don't always smell clean. Are there any filters to clean out? Is there a way to get it to use more water? Thanks, Bob
