Question about Kenmore 79112 / 79114 / 79119 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
My lower element on the oven cracked. I have a new part which I ordered and received in one day! Amazing.
Now, how do I change this thing.
What holds the spring assembly onto the bar assembly is just two small prongs. Use a pliers on the end that protrudes through the bar, squeezing the prongs together, and it should come out fairly easily.

depending on type of unit. most of the time they are very easy to change out.. look at element locate two screws. go shut off breaker to oven.. make sure its has no power. after removing screws element should come out fairly easy.. make sure not to let wires fall back inside unit. if so not to worry. just pull unit out from wall and remove back panel. push wire back through. hope this helps

SOURCE: replacing a radiant element on
yea sounds like an issue for sure, nut not with the element but hte switches instead, theres a short in one or the other( most likely the dual switch) i wouls reccomend replacing both the switches, the elemenst should be fine.

It is the burner control (behind the knob). The triac in the control has failed. $50 item, 10 minute change. Just make note which wire goes to which terminal.
I doubt that it is the control board, as the board has little to do with the stove top, but rather controls the display and the oven temperature/feedback monitoring.
Hope this helps.
