You need to redownload the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link:http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 4710 Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.
If u use vista, try to click right at volume icon at your bottom right screen.choose sound and then choose recording tab...at microphone icon, double click and choose enable at device usage....hope this will help.. = )
sorry if this dissapoints u , generally graphic cards are integrated on ur laptop motherboad, so its very difficult to replace it with an other one, it can only be done by ur motherboard manufacutrer. there are very few laptops that gives an option wher u can change ur cards.
an other way if u want to speed up ur graphics would be to tweak ur graphics. nowadays u get different softwares to tweak ur graphic, but be sure u got a good external temperature controlling system.
The Acer Aspire 4710 uses a SATA hard drive. Unfortunately Redhat Linux 9.0 does not have SATA support (uses the 2.4 kernel). You will have to upgrade to something recent like Fedore Core 7 or Ubuntu 7.10. Hope this helps.
