Hi if your softner dispensor is a removable compartment from the soap powder drawer ? then remove the dispensor and you will see the pipe with cap on top at rear ? pull this pipe off and ensure it is not blocked and that the cap is a firm fit on top? then ensure the short pipe that is part of dispensor tub is clear reassemble and refit try again ? these softner dispensor work by syphon effect IE when you top up to recommended level with softner in dispensor ? it remains untill wash is at softner rinse cycle then when water is entered into dispensor of softner and the level is raised to above the short pipe within compartment and the outer pipe with top on ? the syphon effect takes place and the softner+waterlevel is is syphoned int machine and dispensor is empty?? i hope you understand ? it is simple and works if you think of a toilet cistern how it syphons water for flush it is the same principle hope this helps

When putting softner in after loading clothes, the fabric softner runs out onto clothes before washing cycle begins

The part that puts softner in at the right time might be stuck open or broke. Have it looked at or see if you can find the problem.

Softner does not go through

The softner compartment is not receiving water. The solenoid valve to the inlet for softner compartment is not functioning or the solenoid is not receiving supply from the controller board of the washing machine.

FTF530FS Front Load washing machine. Clothes smell.

all front load washers have the problem. Mold and a build up or dirt and soap and fabric softner cause s old musty smell. The low water use makes the machine dirty and build up inside. Run a few Hot water washes with out clothing, Run it empty ,(run your hot water neer your washer to get the cold water out of the house pipes) hot water and pour bleach in side, 2 or more cups. Keep doing it. When your not using washer leave the door open so air can get inside. Hot wash,es with bleach will keep it clean, also dont use fab softner.

The fabric softner dispenser is clogged. it fills

Pour really, really hot water into it and that should disperse the fabric softerner...then run the washer with NO clothes in it...good luck

Try removing the dispenser cup - and washing the inner cup thoroughly- run a sanitary cycle with whites and chlorine bleach mold and mildew likes to haunt these front loaders - be sure to run a bleach hot water cycle once weekly

Fabric softner is building up in dispenser

Same deal - I have to soak up all the residual water in the softener dispenser between washes. (The detergent and bleach compartments are fine).

Frabic Softner Dispenser

the water valve for the softner is not opening. depending on the model, you can put unit in a service mode. this will let you cycle through the valves.

Softner still in the draw

The detergent/softner dispenser is located above the detergent drawer. A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distribution to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle)are done by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer. By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser. Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next step !!!! Look first that they are not any disconnected wires. Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit). In case it works properly (manually) - you should test with a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced. Good luck !!
