How to activate camera

Hi Swim4 Life-welcome to Fix Ya. There are 2 ways to activate your webcam.

First, if you want to use the webcam by itself without skype or another video chat program, you need to install the software which is found on the driver installation software CD that came with your notebook or it may be on your pc.

1. Locate the Driver Installation CD that came with your notebook pc. Insert it in the DVD drive.

2. Run the program called Setup.exe to install the webcam software. When that is done, reboot your pc.

To check if it is preloaded on your pc, go to Start>All Programs>MSI
1 Click on MSI folder and select MSI software>Install.

The installation of the software may take up to 10 min. When you are done reboot your pc.

Hope this is helpful. Thanks for using Fix Ya. Should you need additional assistance, leave a comment and I will be happy to further assist you.

When opening hp photosmart premier 6.5 message comes up document viewer msi,the feature you are trying to open is on a network that is unavailable.

What that means is that when you try to run the program, HP Photosmart, that program, in order to do what you ask, must install a "Feature", or something "It" needs, now the place or location & File, it is looking for it, on a network location, maybe, somewhere, on the internet, well it cannot "Find" the place nor the File. That file is called Document Viewer.msi, this is an Installable program, so if you download and install it will NOT have to look for it. I include a download link for you. Down load and install by double clicking the .msi file. software.informer.com/getfree-documentviewer.msi-7.0-hp-download

When I turn on my MSI M510C notebook - ''reboot and select proper

Your notebook does not see the proper boot files on your C drive. Many times the boot.ini has been corrupted.
You will need a Windows XP Install CD mounted in the CD Rom. When you boot the system you need to choose the CD as the boot device (if the notebbok does not do it by default) then typr R to enter the recovery console. Once you get the C: prompt you will need to create a new boot.ini file using the bootcfg command. See the following website for details in using the Recovery Console:

MSI Wind Netbook sd card reader failure

For both an MSI Wind running Windows and Mac OSX 10.5.(4,5,6) do the following. Shut down the MSI Wind. Remove the power cord, any USB peripherals, and any SD cards in the slot. Remove the Battery Hold down the power key (with the battery removed for 2-5 seconds)  Release the Power Key Insert the Battery Insert the the Power Supply plug ((do not insert any USB or SD card yet)) Power on the Wind Now, insert the SD card-it should now show up on the desktop (in OSX). That should do it. Now insert any USB dongles/cables etc...
You have reset the PMU and bus start up. Any more Wind Questions?

Acer Aspire 3004 - Random reboots; random mouse program select w/o mouse click

the rebooting could well be a driver error, and you pc is set to reboot instead of stopping and showing the code numbers on a blue screen togive any clues, but it sounds as if it could be the touchpad driver. Go to my computer icon, right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager and look down the list for mice and other pointing devices and click the '+' sign and it will probably read synaptics touchpad, right click on it and select uninstal. Restart your notebook and the touchpad will be installed automatically and should, if the driver is not corrupt perform as normal.
