Hello again jqsaba967 and thank you so much much for your help and patience. I have followed your latest suggestions - but no luck! Still a white/gray band across the print. Annoying as all your other suggestions was so helpfull and got my kopier to work OK. Maybe its was an idea that I sent you a pdf of my (bad) print. If not I will thank so much again! Best regards

I have a Minolta EP 1083 the copies that it gives smudge


If fuser rollers are getting hot - you either lack pressure between upper and lower rollers Restart; remove/dump old developer - instal correct compatible starter reinstal imaging unit remove toner ctg. key in stop 0 stop 1 tec rep run F-8 mode runs apx. 2 min. exit svc mode If whats not fusing is gritty(starter) - other issues

i still think its your developer unit is causing this problem,do this take out the drum unit remove the developer unit and rotate the develper unit gears clock wise and look for void areas on the magnet roller where develpoer adhear .

you do need to ajust anything...just look for some sort of dirt ,in the developer unit..transfer separation unit is the unit.sets under the drum..its has 2 very thin wires.
the wires should be cleaned very gently.with pencil eraser.is good

what is your exposure lamp brigthness condition? checkyour upper high voltage adjustment , check your exposure lamp & bright it & clean your copier lens.thanks.

did you try to cleane the optic section ,make sure to remove the lens cover and clean mirror on the right side too underthe len cover,2 remove drum check and c if toner on drum?

EP 1083 service /reset codes


Press on keyboard, stop o stop 1. Press 4 to enter counter mode., the first counter should be the pm, displaying a counter with a negative sign. Press cancel key to reset to 0. Exit service mode by pressing panel reset 2 or 3 times and you should be back in business.
