2.60 is your firmware version and I would recommend looking into getting custom firmware, as it can be downloaded and installed to your psp as usual firmware i have firmware 5.00m33-3 and to maintain that you will have to look into this website for guides and faq's on how to do so, alternatively you could add me on msn and I could help you sort this out my email is tidusaka@hotmail.com I fix psp's every week

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Everytime i started to update my psp to version 3.51 it tells me that THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED (DADADADA). what is this and what will i do with this? my current version right now is 3.40 OE-A

If u r trying to update ur psp by any umd in this firmware, It may not be possible so all u have to do is download the update file(official update whichever version u like) and copy it inside a folder named UPDATE, the UPDATE folder should be inside a folder named PSP. The folder PSP could be found at the front(root folder) or when you open ur psp drive by using a computer...
NOTE: a)Do not cancel or switch off the psp during update...
b)Do not rename the update that you have downloaded...

Your psp probably was hacked before and the idstorage was messed up. If you are luckly running on 1.5 firmware, you can run homebrew programs such as idstorage change and idstorage manager to fix the problem, then proceed to firmware update.

Psp updates

Hi Baran,

You are toying with a serious chance of Bricking your PSP. Before you update, plug up the power cord to the PSP. These updates once you get them started, may take longer than you have battery. The Game disc should have the update on it. Plug your power cord up and follow the games directions. Do not try to use the PC.
