Try to take out the sd flash card in your camera, or try to format this card using your camera. you get this error coming through this card.. so it better to format or replace the card.

New memory card put it in and it said card error formatted it and it still says card error

I see that the Fujifilm Finepix Z2 model is 6 years old. Do the cards that you are using say SDHC? If so your camera is probably not compatible with them. Try using a regular SD card (no HC) and that might solve your issue. Fujifilm might also have a firmware update that can make your camera work with SDHC cards. Hope this helps!

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Its easy to identify where you can plug your USB connector to your camera. You just have to look for the symbol below.
seancarlisle.jpg Usually it is located on the side of your camera or near the battery compartment.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for using Fixya,

I have a Finepix Z2 camera and I have forgotten how to download the photos form it on to my computer. Please assist me. Thank you

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Why does my fujifilm finepix z2 say card error. it was perfect half an hour ago.

All memory cards need to be formatted before use to provide optimum performance. Formatting provides the camera a clean medium to put the picture files on. After each download the memory card should be re-formatted to clear the old pictures off and provide space for the new pictures

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Card not initialised shown on the screen

That means the card needs to be formatted in the camera. This will erase it so download the pics first.

Fujifilm takes Disorted photos

How old are your camera and memory card? Both will eventually wear out. Digital cameras are generally good for so many shots. The same goes with the cards. I would personally try a new card and see if it helps.
