SOURCE: Can't print envelopes
How to print on COM10 envelops from the Bypass tray (PCL6) using a Windows 2000 O/S
Solution Fixed! Did not fix. Resolution Role: Fix
Critical Message: The Envelope must be placed in the Bypass Tray face down (flap side up) and Long Edge IN. In Microsoft Word (Word 2000)
Within the WorkCentre Pro 123/128 print driver
After opening up the print driver [<Start>, <Settings>, <Printers>, double-click on the WCP 128 PCL6 driver], click on Printing Preferences under the General tab.
In Microsoft Word under Envelopes and Labels, Click <Print> to send the information to the printer.
Note: This setup represents one way of printing envelopes. Other ways setting up some features in a different manner will work as well.

You have to remove the 4 screws from the back of the machine, and remove the back cover.
Then remove both side covers. They are on with plastic tabs on the sides. They will with some work pop off.
Be sure NOT to break the wire to the speaker when removing the covers.
You next have to remove the connectors from the document feeder and scanner located on the right side of the machine looking from the rear. Also unscrew the ground wire.
Remove 2 screws from the back portion of where the scanner is connected to the frame, just above the fuser.
Slowly remove the scanner/feeder assembly. They interlock into the front of the machine.
Remove the document feeder from the scanner. Just slides out.
Lay the scanner glass side down.
Remove the screws holding the controle consol on, remove and unplug the consol. Then take the screws out of the scanner, from the top, that hold the scanner together. There are a couple of tabs you need to release to seperate the upper and lower scanner.
Then you have to carefully pop the tabs in the scanner head to release the lamp assembly from the CCD assembly to clean the mirrors, being very careful not to break one of the mirrors in the process of popping the tabs to realease the lamp bracket assembly.
Clean with a soft cloth and glass cleaner, then repeat the procedure in reverse to put it back together.
Take your time and be sure you get everything plugged back in.
You just about take the machine down to nothing to clean the scanner.
Not difficult, But please take your time and make notes, or careful mentally make notes so reassambly is easier.
Hope this helps.

hmmm..sounds like a memory overload..shut down machine, let the memory clear, and maybe reinstall the print management software..print queue issues are almost always from overloading the memory for the printer..
on the feeder issue, check for paper caught in tray or path, and clean the rollers too.

Recently I had to configure a 17" Aluminum PowerBook and a Xerox Workcentre PE 16. That multifunction laser monochrome printer is not supported by MacOS X, but I tried all the same.... and no glue for that, until I went on the Samsung webpage and noticed their SCX-4216F printer. This machine is the same as the PE 16.
So I downloaded the lastest drivers from Samsung's download centre (drivers for Tiger too), installed the drivers on the PowerBook (running 10.3.4), connected the printer and when I selected the printer ... tada! It automatically selected the Samsung driver, so I clicked on OK and started printing. Everything was OK!
But it doesn't end here: even the Lexmark X215 MPF has the same chassis as the Xerox and Samsung. Yet, on Lexmark's website there are no Mac OS X drivers, but Samsung's drivers work just the same. I hope this hint will help others...
