Bush rf6685vpl flat screen tv going to standby only

Hi I read some articles on fixing my colour problems on my Bush Tv. It seemed I needed to change the posistor/thermistor thingy if they are the same thing. I bought one which I think was the same (old one had mz73g 18rm written on it. New one had cdp 72 180m written on it). They looked the same and were for a bush tv and i guessed the 180m 18rm were the same. Anyway I was also very over zealus in discharging the adode thing and the capacitor thingy. When I switched the tv on I now just have a standby light. Any ideas what might be the problem? I'd love to fix this tv just to win this battle between me and the warranty dodging google box!!!

please help.. dont let it get away that easily!

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Good day!

That problem is usually happen when the TV is near the magnet or the speaker.

You have to do is demagnetized the screen of your TV using screen Degausser.

The picture looks like this:
nineng_7.jpg

Just plug-in the degausser and push the button in front of your TV.

If you did not have that degausser please buy it to this link:

We have a Bush TV, model number RF6685VPL/A. We switched it on thismorning and the colours have all gone strange, with various shades of purple around the outside of the screen. It has been turned off,...

This sounds like a purity fault due to a magnetic build up, you will need to call out a service engineeer to have the TV de-gaussed firstly, which is a simple process. If this does not cure the fault, then the internal circuit for de-magnetising maybe a problem. The worst outcome can be the tube is at fault & would need replaced.

Bush tv has a circle on screen like looking thru a telescope

HELLO

Funnily enough I have been given a 21 inch standard Bush set with the same problem!

It's a DEGAUSSING fault. This means the deguss circuit in the TV is not operating as it should - probably a faulty positor. When you switch the TV on (NOT FROM STANDBY) the circuit that removes magnetism from the screen does not work correctly.

Switch it off, unplug the set from the mains for 30 minutes or so and try it again. If there is no change, contact a TV repair centre.

Make sure there are no hifi loudspeakers next to the TV or a radiator as this can have an effect too.

ALL THE BEST! (:-)

Bush TV, model number RF6685VPL/A - Colours are wrong!

It seems that it is a degaussing problem. TV sets have a degaussing coil that when the TV is turned on , it automatically demagnetizes the screen. Never place any speakers or anything magnetic near or on top of your set. if you see swirls of color and like you say, wierd colors, it is that the screen is magnetized. Turn it on and off with the switch. Not the remote control. The degaussing coil only works by manually turn the switch on and off.
