Question about HP LaserJet 4250n Printer
Everytime we print a document, the ink smudges in a number of places, particularly in the centre of the document. We have run the printer cleaning process a number of times and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. When we look at the fuser, it appears as if the roller has a clear film over the centre of it, where its smudging. Should we just buy a new fuser or is there something else that might be causing this?
Thanks in advance.
Try performing a test by printing a test page from Tray 1 and open the top cover as soon as the paper is 60% inside. The paper would jam below the toner cartridge before it reaches the fuser. Remove the toner cartridge carefully and verify if the smudges occur. This would eliminate the fuser. If the print quality is fine, then you need to swap the fuser.
