Check all wire connections, check all wires for frays make sure none of them are chaffing on any sharp metal, try different cable or wire between the tuner and or amp and the speaker sorry to say but it sounds like you possibly may have shorted out a Chanel. not saying you did but you may have. you may have to open the system smell the circuit board, to see if there was any (magic smoke), if so you can try to replace any of the bad components check and try to repair any opens, or try to find any loose solider connections or any burnt resistors or fluid leaking from capacitors if all is well and you don't find anything which you probably will if ya blew a Chanel, have it repaired, or buy a new one or go to EBay............

Hi.
First make sure all connections are firmly in place. Not only speakers, but any other inputs too.
swop the left and right channels over at the amplifier end. If the sound happens on the other speaker now, you have a faulty av receiver. If it's still on the same speaker, that speaker is "broken" and requires replacing.

if front left is working it is possible u have a dry solder on ur right channel line. try resoldering or if u want to know exactly where dry solder is, shake gently every right channel components and connections. if resoldering does not work it is possible u have a faulty ouput amp for ur right channel. if ur not sure about this i suggest u get it checked by a qualified tech.

The wattage rating, I take it, for the speakers is more than 45 watts right? Check to make sure that you connected the right wires to each speaker, front right + wire to front right speaker, not front right +, to front left + and make sure that the -'s are connected to the -'s, and the +'s are connected to the +'s.

I have a problem with my car speaker/tweeter

Sounds like you have the ground and live possibly the other way around from the head unit to the speakers. The reason for you hearing it from both the tweeter and the speaker is that the tweeter is connected in parallel to the speaker.
Swap the wiring and try it.

Volume fade

Check to be sure there are no speaker wires touching ground, and that the wires are connected in phase to the head unit.
Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors Left Front (+) Green Left Front (-) Black/White Right Front (+) White/Red Right Front (-) Black/White Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck Left Rear (+) Pink/Red Left Rear (-) Pink/Blue Right Rear (+) Pink/Light Blue Right Rear (-) Green/Red

The symptoms you are relaying definately sound like an internal amplifier problem. It is fading in and out for a reason - usually due to heat.

Have you had the radio bench tested (seperate from the car) to eliminate the car as being the culprit?

Since the radio was run with damaged speakers originally, the output or amplifier power supply on the amplifier may be bad.

As an alternative to repairing, I would suggest investing in a small 2 channel amplifier to power the speakers.

The radios claim 50W per channel, but in reality give 12-15W RMS power.

A dedicated amplifier with built in crossovers and gain adjustments will prolong the life of your speakers and add to the tonal qualities of your new speakers. Instead of turning up the volume on the head Unit, and sending out a distorted signal that will blow your speakers, an amplifier will give more CLEAN power to them, so it will be louder at a lower volume setting.

This will bypass the internal amplifier on the radio, and send a Low Level signal ONLY thru a set of RCA cables.

Good Luck!!
