Are you at the answering machine or calling into the machine? If you are at the machine, press and hold Annc/Skip. Wait for the beep and then speak normally from about 9 inches away from the mic (just below the Play/Stop button). You will see a dash in the display. To stop recording, press Annc/Skip. The system will play back your message. (If you press and release the Annc/Skip button, it will play back the current message.)
If you are dialing in, once you are into the system, press 7 * and wait for the beep. Speak your message and then press 5. The message will play back.
your phone may be equipped with voicemail call your own phone number to see. mine is and that is why mine flashes. and the answering machine does not usually work with voice mail. i'm not sure why but i always have voicemails and no messages on my answeriong machine.
When you are away, you call your number and waiting for the welcome message (your message). When the machine invites you to leave a message you enter your secret code, the one you entered when you configured the machine. (Usually there is default, but since you don't have a manual there is no point guessing (although 123 may do the trick). Some older phones have a code sticker on the underside of phone.)
When the code is recognized the machine starts giving instructions press (number) to (do something).
you can try this. press "menu/set" " *2864 " within 2 secs. then press "01" and wait for a few seconds until "para init" goes away. then press "99" and when you see "please wait" unplug machine. wait for 15 secs. and plug back in and see if it comes up. if not, then you have a hard error and must have serviced.
good luck,
razors
I have a jwin jt-p590 and I have no idea how to use the voicemail/answer machine it's equipped with. Is there some sort of button scheme I'm supposed to press. I threw away the manual to it. Sorry I don't have an answer for your problem, but you seem pretty witty from the answers I saw you give to other ppl. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out.
When we turn the camcorder on there is a message on the screen which says the temperature is too low and we have to wait. We have left the machine on several times and the message remains and the machine don't not do anything. Any Idea on how solve it?
If you have unpluged the machine and repluged it in there is only one thing left apart from throwing it away: try to do a firmware update! download will be done from brother homepage. If youre lucky it will bing the machine back to work.
If that wont do, you have to put it away, sorry (circuitboard defective!)
