HOW TO TAKE OUT BATTERY 2003 OLDS SIL - Cars & Trucks

Oldsmobile Silhouette there nothing difficult about a battery change.
1. remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
2.Remove battery Negative cable
3. Remove battery Positive cable
4. Remvoe battery insulator (its on the bottom side)
try not to tilt the battery too much when removing.
To install position the battery in the tray.
1.Install the battery hold down
2.Install battery Positive
3.Install battery Negative
4.Reinstall the metal diagonal brace.
and your done.

Remove wiper assembly plastic cover. Then remove front bolt that holds the cross brace bar over the battery. Loosen the bolt at the other end of the brace bar and rotate brace bar from over the battery to a new location and proceed to remove the plastic battery hold down mount on bottom of battery.Disconnect the negative then positive battery cables from the battery then rotate battery up and out of compartment -- this is a very tight fit. It will come out and the clearance is very small. This is a neat challenge. Be sure to buy proper size battery for replacemeent
