Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Stopped Dead I have a Roper washing machine Model # RAB4232EW1. A couple of days ago I went to start it up, and nothing. Not one sound. I checked the electrical connections and fuse box and everything checked out. Anyone know why it would suddenly stop working? Just out of curiosity, how old is this model?

It may sound obvious, but to us non-mechanical/technical types who only use the machines and could care less about the mechanics of it, always check the electrical outlet. Turns out the outlet itself was dead. Plugging the washer into another outlet proved to be the solution. I will certainly know to check the lid switch (and outlet) should it happen again. Thanks for the help.

Dead phone

I know this sometimes happens with these smart phones; one day they just up and quit.
You could try a fresh battery, and check your charging source.
Mine did something similar a couple days ago - I thought it was charging all night long, and in the morning when I went to turn it on... nothing. It ended up being my charging cable, it wasn't putting any juice to the phone.

My roper washing machine modelRA845KJQ have a fuse in it? I just stopped wrking mid wash..its full of water and will not work andwe repaced the motorand he coupling in it ndstill nohin and was wondering...

If its sitting dead... and you have no wash/fill/or spin.. I would tend to think timer. If the tub I full of water, reset the timer to wash... if it washes and then die's at the rinse... look at the lid switch.

You have one of the best washers ever made... It is called a "Direct Drive" by us technicians. You probably need this part, but NEVER get rid of this machine as NOTHING out there is this good- not for anyprice. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Whirlpool-Washing-Machine-Motor-Coupling/285753A/1195967?modelNumber=LSQ9110PW3&ss=a11b5d654521&mr=1

Roper model RAB4232EW1 doesn't spin out most of the water on close. Spins and drains but leaves close too wet.

Pulloff the back of your washer sounds like you might have overloaded it and cause the belt to slip. Should be just a couple of screws when you look in with a flashlight you should see the issue if you dont start it up on a dry run and watch what happens. But I am guessing that the belt must be slipping. Let me know what you find and I hope it helps!
