When I turn monitor on, it stays on only 2 seconds, then goes dark. When I turn the monitor on, it lights for another two seconds, then goes dark. It is a MAG Innovision TCO 03 display. Thank you!

It could be two things. 1). The video card is set to a resolution the monitor does not support. 2). The monitor's power supply is bad. You can try to boot into rescue (or "safe") mode, and adjust the video card to a resolution the monitor supports. OR, power supplies usually go bad because capacitors bulge or otherwise go bad. Most monitor power supplies are hard to get, so people typically repair them. If you disassemble the monitor shell, you can see the power supply (where the AC cord goes). You can look at the metallic, cylindrical looking things with minus signs down one side, and if they look bulged on top, you can replace them. You can get replacements at

Where are the plus/minus buttons that are talked about in the manual?

They are on the bottom of the face panel of the screen.
They may be marked 'V' and and 'inverted-V'.

My monitor is unresponsive. Does not power on anymore. Does anyone have any troubleshooting ideas?

If your monitor uses a power supply (the brick that plugs into the wall, and then a smaller cord plugs into the monitor), then it's more likely the power supply that's gone out than the monitor itself.

Find someone with a multimeter to check the output voltage on the power supply. There will be a label on the power supply that says what the DC voltage (VDC) is supposed to be. If the meter shows no voltage when the power supply is plugged into the wall, then you just need a new power supply.

Do not try using another power supply as a substitute unless it is a specific match to your monitor. They vary widely by output voltage, etc. and using the wrong one could fry your monitor.

Hope that's helpful.

Vp230mb power supply

Follow the ribbon cable from the pwr supply down to the motherboard. Near where it connects there are two "U" shaped wire loop test points. One is positive, one negative, 12V at 7.5amps.

Solder onto these. There is one other "S" wire which is for voltage sense. Don't know what to do with that one.

Inspite of all the wires in the ribbon, half are + and half are minus 12V, but it really needs the 7.5Amps.

The circuit breaker popped due to power fluctuation or something else ? It is clearly understood that your LCD monitor suffered some component burn inside otherwise it would show 'NO SIGNAL' sort of Display if it is not connected. There is nothing to resset. Please open it up & check if there is any sign of burned component or take it to a service center if it is still under warrenty.
