Question about Brother XR-65t Mechanical Sewing Machine
I have a brother xr-65 sewing machine and the bobbin will not stay in its proper position. When I sew the bobbin moves and the thread gathers in one spot. How can I keep the bobbin from moving around and be in its proper position. I have lost my manual.
I had the same problem and I found out that it was because I was not using Brother bobbins...I was buying the replacements that looked the same from Joanns and I guess the ones they require are a little bit taller...once I bought the right replacements...everything has been fine. Hope that helps. The model number for the correct bobbins is SA156...get froma local dealer or online retailer.

Insert the bobbin so the thread comes out in the middle a away from you, hold the thread end push the bobbin down with with your finger, and pass the thread securely through the thread cutting groove

Mine does the same thing with the cheap plastic bobbins. I switched to the metal bobbins and no more issue!
