Rubber plunger came off the "i" key on my Dell XPS M1330 keyboard. How do I reconnect it? I have the key and plastic pieces that attach behind it as well.

Dear peg, As you have the plastic pieces, set it as previously it has, may you don't know but do it as much as possible. One think you remember that, set the plastic such that air can give pressure on the sensor. Apply some gum on the side of the rubber. After that see the key have lock which can set on the clamp which is on the key board. Set it and apply a little pressure. It will work. In real today the keyboards are non-repairable. So do it on your own and if you failure buy a new one.

When I am typing my curser starts jumping around how do I stop this

Try disabling the touchpad in the BIOS and see if it still happens. If it stops you are accidently touching the pad while typing and the cursor jumps becaus eof that

Curser jumps all over screen when mouse moved

If you don'y use a mouse mat then your sensor (if you use a mouse with a censor) is picking up bumps, or changes in the surface it is moving over and turning it into jumps on your screen and using a mouse mat should solve this. If you use a mouse with a ball the take the ball out and give th rollers inside a good clean.

Try uninstall the Touchpad driver, the reinstall using THIS ONE.
It says Vista/XP/2k support, but it worked for me on several M1330 machines, on Windows 7 as well...

Good luck,

Sensitive touch pad

Hi, click on start and control panel. go to mouse properties. Try to look for a tab that says either touch or touchpad. you can change the sensitivity settings there. however if this doesnt work, this could only mean that this is a physical problem with the toucpad. try to apply pressure on the outer side of the touchpad. if it moves, you're gonna need a replacement palmrest.
