We have a had our TV for about 2 years now and it made sizzling noise and just went out. It will not come on at all. We tried unplugging it from the surge protector and plugging it straight into the wall. The red light came on for just a minute and then went right back out.

I AM JESSICA PORRAS. I PURCHASED AN ILO PLASMA 42" T.V. FROM WALMART IN 2006. THE T.V. LASTED 1 YEAR AND POPPED A FUSE. THE SCREEN WENT BLACK, BUT VOICE IS STILL COMING THROUGH. I DID HAVE WARRANTY AND MY MONEY WAS RETURNED. I HAVE A QUESTION AS FAR AS THE BRAND 'ILO' GOES. CAN THE PARTS BE CROSSED WITH ANOTHER BRAND? SINCE THE FUSE HAS POPPED, WE HAVE REPLACED THE FUSE 3 TIMES, AND IT KEEPS POPPING THE FUSE. THE LAST 2 FUSES HAS BEEN A CERAMIC FUSE AND IT WILL BURN THEM. if it's ILO LCD 32 inch then call Initial Electronics 1 800 216 5156, but be warned, not very good customer service. Takes a long time to get what you want.....my tv has been 'getting fixed' for 2 months now.
i too went 3months with no remote or codes finally a young tech at walmart in another town told me to use 0171 code but cable guy set me up on cable remote to turn tv on and off tech told me to get a one for all remote 9.99 at walmart and code it but to also push setup code for tvdvd and enter code i use cable remote for tv viewing and the one for all to reach video 2 (press tv/vid button twice) for games and dvd player now i can access menu and use my tv as it should hope this helps

my 8 month old tv doesnt even turn blue. just blinking red light where on/off light display appears. very discouraged cause wallmart will not help. trying techsupport. i found this number from my purchase paperwork. hope it is helpfull to you.
Usually the blue screen is an indication that the video signal to the TV is not present. Most of the new TV's have a video input selection button on the TV and on the remote; try changing the video input selection.
I ORDERED A NEW REMOTE FROM
I too have this same problem. However I believe that my 32"ILO RC-370C TV is excellent. My problem is this cheap REMOTE that came with the TV. Maybe you might want to call this TV remote company. They give you a year's warranty on their remotes. My TV and remote was only 3 months old. The remote cost $34.99 plus S/S. 1-800-736-6837. Because my TV cost $900.00 later they went down to $800.00.
