IMac inbox duplicates all entries (2 X )

The inbox on my IMac Leopard always has two entries, and I routinely delete one to enjoy a "clean slate".

onteo; thanks for your answer of Nov 5.  I have been studying Article 1452 and afraid to monkey with my Leopard Install DVD as suggested. I have checked "bom" files in Library/Receipts. I don't know how to use Disc Utility to verify/repair permissions. Introducing Disc Utility to my Receipt files is a problem for me.  How do I do this? I am a NEWBIE and new to Apple. Thanks, and if you have any more ideas, I'd appreciate.

I really do think you have helped me study this, but..... Thanks onteo !

Try any app that would do it for you. Something like "Iceclean" would help. Google for it :)

Hi Bayonet,
The problems seems to be with some of us :)
Have you tried to repair permissions?
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1452  (apple support article about disk permissions)

It worked for me:) I hope it does it for you.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Inbox messages duplicated in Junk file

The time to time cleaning of your Outlook mailbox is a good routine to adapt as it makes sure that your mailbox remains free from any duplicate items. But once the mailbox database and the size of other folders become large, it becomes quite difficult to remove the duplicacy of the database. To avoid manual efforts, a dedicated Outlook duplicacy software can be used. To download one such tool visit http://www.outlookduplicateemails.net

Bought used iMac and need documentation for Leopard OS.

go to

manuals.info.apple.com/en/Welcome_to_Leopard.pdf

It gives you the basics. The support section on the apple website should help you as well also the help on Leopard is quite good. But if you want to get more information it is probably advisable to visit your local library or buy something like Dummies Guide to Leopard (Not Snow Leopard)

Launch Safari, then go to the preferences in the safari menu. Click on "Auto Fill" and then select to use the info from your address book vcard. Click on the edit and change the info as needed to get the correct zip code and then you should be in business.

Outlook 2003 duplicate emails

To start go to the account settings , and ensure that there is no duplicate account , this will cause duplicate message when option to not delete messages from server is chosen.

In that case delete duplicate accounts or chose not to include duplicate accounts in Send and Receive.

If there is no duplicate account, that means that you will get duplicate emails only when you access your account from different computers. In that case there is nothing to do. If copies are kept on the server, they will get downloaded again each time you connect to the server from a different computer. That is the way a pop server works.

Regards.

My imac 0s 10.5.7 goes blank and restarts mid work. I thought maybe a mouse problem so took off the wireless and put on the one that came with the imac. That didn't solve the problem.

It sounds like either a hardware problem that has been shown up when you installed Leopard, or your Leopard install hasn't gone smoothly.
IS it a new install?

Names won't display in inbox

Hi!

In my many years of using Nokia phones, I noticed that when there are duplicate entries on both SIM card and Phone memory, the names will not appear when they send you messages. You may try to check your phone and sim memory if the numbers are stored on both and delete the duplicate or choose just one memory to use, whether it be the SIM or phone memory to avoid conflicts.

Somehow, all of my iCal calendars have been duplicated!

I would use the "Delete iCal Duplicates" AppleScript here:
http://www.nhoj.co.uk/applescripts/

when you sync, be sure you use the "overwrite iPhone data with data from this computer" option, or your duplicates will come back to your system.
