Re: DVD stuck in laptop
Use a pin and insert it on the small hole u see on one end of the DVD drive. Once you insert the pin you will see the tray coming out a bit. Applying little preesure pull the tray out and you are good to go.

If you are trying to eject a disc, look closely at the front bezel of the drive, there is a small hole near the eject button, push a paper clip into the hole (straightened paperclip) and the tray will be ejected.
If the DVD door is stuck and will not open through ejecting via the icon in My computer, or the eject button on the bezel will not work, you likely have a faulty drive that will need to be replaced
It sounds like your CD/DVD rom is stuck or damaged. If the drive is empty, this means that something is wrong with the drive itself.
Often, you can use a paperclip that has been bent straight to open this. insert the paper clip into the tiny hole on the door pannel of your CD/DVD drive and most of the time it should pop right open.
if it does not pop open right away, I have seen situations where the disc becomes lodged inside the case and will not allow the door to open at all. This may require you to take your laptop to a repair facility and explain the situation to them.
If you are feeling very confident, you can try to remove the CD rom drive from your laptop, remove the outer casing and see if you can dislodge the disc that way.
Hello there: This sounds like to me that your cd rom device is going out on you when the disk gets stuck and refuses to come out what you can do is to get a paper clip and sraightren it out now look on the cd rom door and you will see a verry small hole if you press in on the door button and insert the paper clip in the hole when you see the light for the cd rom door turn on press in on the paper clip failrl hard and it will release the locking mechanism and the door will open for you. you can try to clean the entire tray and the slides tht the tray runs on get some canned air and spray the area really well on both sides and see if this helps If not that you may want to consider havaing the cd rom drive replaced ok Hope this is very help ful for you Best regards Michael
If pressing the eject button wont open the dvd tray, then try to look for the tiny hole in the tray's front door and push a paper clip in it whilst the laptop is turned on. That should manually eject the dvd tray.
