Well you may want to check and see if your alternator is working, which is simple take your car to a local autozone or any major auto parts store and have them run a check on your alternator. chances are that is the problem. if not then they will be able to tell you what the problem is and where and how to fix it. but normally if the battery wont hold a charge while in operation then chances ar eits your battery itself or the alternator. but if you put a charge on the battery and jus let the vehicle set then you may a a draw somewhere in the electrical system. dont freak out though take it and have a free diagnostics check done and chances are they will be able to tell you what the problem is. good luck

98 laredo, battery wont hold a charge after about 15 min, engine cranks and wont start, or have to unhook vacuum hose to pcv valve, thenhas rough idle/run,shuts down while driving

If you have to remove the PCV to get it to run, it's starving for air. Most likely a bad idle air control valve. Battery wont hold charge is a separate issue. Get your charging system tested

You may have a bad alternator... you can have it checked at any auto store for free... Also check your positive/negative wired connections...your connection to your positive cable that goes to your starter may need to be replaced, or your negative cable could be bad also.
