How do I make my acer aspire 3000 screen brighter

Try using keyboard combination Fn+right arrow. If this doesn't help right click on battery icon on taskbar, select Adjust screen brightness, then move slider for Screen Brightness to the right.

usually there are keys that you press in conjunction with another key like the Fn key and a key that looks like a bright Sun, or a Dark Sun, shape, on one of the keys usually on the number keys on top row under Function keys. So you press the Fn key and at same time. tap the Bright sun key, and it will step up in brightness, plugging in the adapter also makes it brighter too.

You should be able to adjust the screen brightness using the "FN" key and the keys that have a sun on them with a arrow up and down. Or you can right click on the desktop and change the screen's brightness in the display properties. And sometimes laptops are set up to automatically lower the brightness when the power properties are set to power saver...like when running on batteries only and no ac power connected.

The Acer 3000 series and 3610 series has different set of Parts, Hence Swapping the LCD screen may damage your other 3610 LCD also. Please try to get a replacement for Aspire 3000 LCD.

How old is yor laptop is it still under warranty as I think it may be the back light, There is 2 small fluro tubes top & bottom of your screen & they may be on their way out it can me expensive to fix
