Buy the Samsung OEM data cable along with the ActiveSync install CD. These are purchased together as a set from a reputable cell phone dealer . Enable your computer to access transfer data from your computer to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone by installing the ActiveSync CD. Before installing ActiveSync make sure all other programs are closed.
Insert the OEM data cable to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone.Plug in the other end of the OEM data cable to your computer using the USB port.
Watch as transfer begins automatically with the ActiveSync program. This will transfer your stored phone numbers from your computer to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone.
End the ActiveSync program by closing the window. Open the contact information in your Samsung BlackJack phone to make sure all information was transferred.
For transfer of phone numbers on SIM card you have to go to phone book menu and enter options , inside these option you may find copy phone numbers to SIM card or vice versa, its always good to keep SIM as default memory if you keep changing phones but at the same time you will have limited space and limited flexibility of data storage per contact
As far as transferring SMS on SIM I dobut if its possible now, one thing could be you set your phone now in such a manner that all messages get saved in the SIM memory, this setting maybe available in messages settings.
One simple soution (though it abridges the full contact data) to move contacts from one phone to another is to copy them to the sim card, swap the sim card over and then copy from Sim to phone. Failing that on most phones you can often 'send all' contacts via bluetooth or infrared.
Some cell phones have trouble reading SIM cards that have been used in other phones. (Example: The Samsung Jack may not be able to read a SIM card that has been used in a previous Samsung BlackJack model.) I run in to this problem almost daily with my customers.
Your HTC phone probably has the same problem. To correct it, you'll need to purchase a new SIM card (you can get one on eBay for the least amount of money) and contact your cellular provider. Tell them you have a defective SIM - that you purchased a new SIM card and you need your account switched to the new SIM card.
After you give them your new SIM card number, it will take about 15 seconds and the new SIM will be ready to use in your HTC TyTN.
I am fairly certian the only thing to do is to reset the device, if the numbers and data are saved on a SIM card or a Memory Card, remove them prior to reset. If you do not know how to reset the phone go to your wireless service providers store(I.E. AT&T or the like) and they will likely perform this service for you free of charge.
If I were you I would send the phone back to the seller and demand a refund. You say the seller said it was unused and new? In that case, if there is numbers on the phone then it was opened and used, i woulb contat the seller and get my money back, ether that or tell him to send you a new Blackjack II, unopened and unused!!
